Hey what's up. Im having a lot of trouble pulling off grabs while inverted. I know they say "grab first, then flip". Does this still apply for backrolls? I just can't seem to grab when im upside down. I feel like I'm chasing the grab while other people seem to do them so effortless. There has to be a trick to this. The indy backroll is really the only thing I've attempted in terms of an inverted grab. I mean I thought it would have been easy enough to grab a backroll indy but... not the case! I'm going out Sunday and will try to think about grabbing before I throw the roll, unless someone tells me that this is a bad idea for backrolls. Someone suggested stretching before I go out. Anyways, I need all the tips I can get before Sunday. Let me kknow. Thanks! _________________ Go Big. Go Bigger. Bubb Rubb going home. |

do you do progressive backrolls or mexican rolls? mexi rolls are easy to grab indy, but progressive backrolls are easier to grab with your front hand _________________

I do progressive backrolls for sure. I love doing them off the double-ups, which is where I've been trying to grab them INDY but no success. I've never even tried a mexican roll. I was thinking about trying one but I figured they would require a progressive edge as well??!?!?!?!? Don't they? Yea I could definately try grabbing with my front hand on the progressive backroll. What do you recommend? Slob? Nose? Method? Mute? _________________ Go Big. Go Bigger. Bubb Rubb going home. |

So I went out and tried a couple slob backrolls this weekend. I definately think you're right! I think grabbing with your front hand is a lot easier than grabbing Indy. I didn't actually get the slob grab, but I came very close. I only tried the trick twice because I had a bad fall before I could get to trying any more. I will definately give it another shot in a few days or next weekend. By the way, I know you didn't recommend a slob grab but do you think slob is as easy as melan or nose? _________________ Go Big. Started trying some nosegrab backrolls. I can land with the rope in my back hand, but I'm still having trouble getting that front-hand on the nose of the board. Maybe I should go back to trying slob. Anymore suggestions? I may have to post a vid or something. _________________ Go Big. Go Bigger. Bubb Rubb going home. |
