on a board, it took only one set. i was doing them on wakeskates for a while before i ever tried on a board...just that mental block. i don't count the wakeskate sets though. but yes, on a board, i landed one at slow speed then just sped the boat up incrementally just to take it slow and in that set, i had the raley down just about perfect. even threw in a krypt that same set Very Happy

sweet man we should get together and ride, riddle has a wakeboard club with and old moomba they ride at lake dias in deland. i ride out there sometimes with a buddy of mine who has a launch, but mostly stick to the intracoastal. you bringing a boat?

reachjims, unfortunately, no. i wish i could bring it though. i was thinking about getting in with that club just to get out and ride and work something with mastercraft and the university to see if we can get a boat (hopefully get something for me from mastercraft individually Razz

). i'll have to see what my options are, but i will definitely get ahold of you to ride sometime...i'd really appreciate that!

h2obug, with me going to florida and being home for just a few months in the wake season up here, we're not going to need it for wakeboarding. my dad wants to get another d-drive ski boat to slalom and barefoot...the x-30 doesn't work too well for him Laughing

i don't mind though...i want him to do his thing and florida is my getaway for wakeboarding.

LFADAM, thanks!!! it does look small...it's not too bad sized but it is an 03 MC, so compared to todays wakes, it's a little down. ballast wise, two tanks in the back, one in the middle, then my dad, sis, mom, and 1 year old niece in the boat. the tanks aren't really all that big, either, so it kinda sucks.

Afrodeziak, thanks! the main thing that i do different from others makes it come around so clean. ride a normal edge in, ride all the way up the wake, and at the top of the wake, drop your rear shoulder and throw your front shoulder back (to open your chest to the boat). this will immediately initiate the trick for you. if you go through it in your mind, it will make sense. do it sitting in your chair like you're riding. the rotation is a lot smoother this way compared to flipping and pulling the spin because you're doing both parts of the trick right off the wake at the same time. hope this helps/makes sense!
