Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to these forums so don't hold me to too high a standard. I've been wakeboarding since I was 7 years old (now 17) but always on this ridiculous Obrien Evil Twin from about 1996. I can jump wake to wake, and do some little stuff but I'd like to purchase a new board so I can actually get some pop off the wake. I'm 6'0, 155 pounds, and an advanced (not expert) rider with a price range around 300 dollars for bindings and board. I know absolutely nothing about wakeboards and was hoping you all could help me out! Thanks in advance everybody!!!!!

I would save a few more dolllars and get the 2008 Hyperlite Murray board if I were you. The 135 would work for your height and weight. You can check out a couple vids of the board at

Full specs for the Murray as well as other boards can be found at

Yeah, for another hundred bucks you can get a really nice setup. I just picked up a new 08 Ronix one board and bindings for like 420. That may not be your board of choice, but an example of deals to be had for a little more.

I'd love to spend more, but around 300 is really my limit for a board +bindings. I have no problem buying a 2007 board or something like that to save cash tho

jacrev@gmail.com,
Are you wanting to ride this board this season? If you can wait a few more months, the 2008 gear will be on sale, which means good deals for you. I would wait for it if i were you.

I just bought this package, which is a crazy low price for what ya get... http://www.grizzly-sports.com/details.php?id=00572 I haven't got it yet, in the mail, so I can't comment on how it rides, although, many people say it's one of the best for an intermediate to experienced rider...

That package looks pretty sweet, anything else that could be slightly cheaper would be amazing though.
