I can do TS frontrolls consistantly, When i first started doin them the were good, i threw them straight over like a front flip. But now they are becoming more and more crow-like. So then when i bring them down i just drop my back hand and come back around to regular.

So my questions are, am i doing an elephant since it looks like a crow but i bring it back around at the last second? Also is an elephant really a trick or is it just considered a sketchy frontroll? And how do i stop doing the crow rotation and just do a frontroll?

Also since they've become so crow-like i've just been trying crows and keep landing them really tail heavy.

Any answers would be appreciated.

kent2010, yes an elephant is a real trick, what you are doing is a sketchy frontroll. I was doing the same thing a while ago. To fix it, throw the frontroll a little more away from the boat to keep your chest closed the whole way through. Dont open up as you come around. Keep your shoulders facing slightly away from the boat. To do a real elephant, you throw it just like a crow, then before you land you pull the handle back and land regular. The difference between a sketch frontroll and an elephant is how in control you are and how much you commit to the shifty. A sketchy frontroll is just a little shifty and you pull it back asap, an elephant is a clean almost 180, then you yank it back at the last second. It looks different too because it looks like a scarecrow rotation the whole way through (the smooth 1 motion kind, not the whip around crow, or late style crow) vs. the straight over frontroll that just drifts a little sideways.
