Seriously. I just passed the mother of all stones, and I get woken up to this at 2am.

The houses that burned were just above my place on the other side of a DRY grass field. Burning embers were landing all over, in my backyard, in the field everywhere. I probably sprayed 200 gallons of water on the fence and the field as far as my hose would reach.

I have no clue how the field didn't go up. Flippin amazing.

If you watch the video in the link, much of it was taken on my street.

edrex, luckily. It did burn a bit of the field at the very top of Boardwalk, and a bit of the fence of the very top unit. The fire crews quickly put it out though.

We saw crews from Rocklin, Lincoln, and Penryn. Just for this one fire.

According to the news last night, they are going to have to tear down the house that was partially burnt due to structural damage. Apparently that house was unoccupied, so it's not all bad.

Yeah, I remember those houses and all the dry grass in between them and your neighborhood. That could have been alot worse then it was.
Anyway, crisis averted... back to passing kidney stones in peace. Very Happy
