| Sorry for my newbie question.. but does the size of the board really matter? or is it more of a preference kind of thing?? Cause I have a 142 board, but I weight around 180lbs, so I should be using a 135 or 136 board right?? I haven't really tried to do any tricks yet, cause I was just able to stand up on the board after a whole bunch of tries. |

a 142 will work for ya. it is a little on the big side but for your weight you do fall within the range of about a 135 to a 142, just don't go any larger if you can help it. _________________ Land of 10,000 Lakes |

There is a certain amount of preference as far as board size goes. With that said, you'd be surprised how much of a difference a few cms will make on board size. A 142 is on the big side for you but not too big.
I personally prefer smaller boards. I ride a 138 and am about 200#s. Bigger boards are better for bigger wakes and vise versa. You probably won't notice too much of a difference until you start trying to catch some air. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
