| keep the handle close to your front hip and lean over the board onto your toes. |

take your fins off and practice. when you can move across the wake, maybe even build a little speed and jump the wake, put them back on _________________

It seems that most beginners tend to lean in the direction they want to go. This inevitably leads to either sliding out or catching an edge.
If you want to edge toeside, keep the handle on your lead hip, LEAN BACK AGAINST THE ROPE don't lean the direction you want to go. Then try to rotate and point your lead hip in the direction you want to go. This will roll your knees over your toes and put you on a toeside edge. It also helps a good bit if you look in the direction you want to go. _________________ Hilton Head Wake Sports.com

| Sometimes letting go with your back hand will help ease you into toeside edging. After you feel comfortable with that, then pulling the handle in with your back hand will feel more natural and will help keep the handle closer to your hip. As HHI Dave said, though, lean back against the rope to build line tension and a harder edge. |
