DAMN IT!!

Rampage lost, but it was a awesome fight.

I thought it was a lot closer that the judges scored it. I think all three judges scored it 28-26 Forrest. I was expecting a split decision, but according to the judges not even close.

Was it just me or did Rampage look like he was not in as good of shape as normal?

I was actually surprised Forrest won, I thought Rampage was getting the better of the exchanges. Rounds 1 and 2 are obvious, but I guess I need to re-watch the last 3 rounds and see how they scored Forrest as the victor.

I don't think he looked like he was in bad shape, however, I did notice this time how disproportionate his body is. His arms are almost as big as his legs, no wonder Forrest chopped him down in the 2nd round with leg kicks!

Rocko, Yea he just...I don't know he just didn't look right. If you look at pictures from his other fights he looks to be in amazing shape. Usually you can count ever ab he has, and last night he had a bit of a stomach(not fat just not like normal). That is the 1st thing I noticed as soon as he walked out.

I was supprised at the outcome. First round = Rampage, Second round = Forrest. The remaining three rounds were a toss up, but I thought Rampage got the better of the exchanges. I expected alteast a split decision. I was a little dissapointed in Rampage's performance, he did not appear to be at the top of his game. I do love his triangle defense.

Despite being on top most of the second round, I was not impressed with Forrest's top game. He really didn't capitalize at all.

Forest landed more hits and gained more points. His hits were not as powerful as rampage's, but they did count. Forest fought a technically sound fight.

Forrest was certainly the aggressor for most of the fight, that probably weighed in on some of the dubious rounds when there wasn't a clear winner. One thing that I keep forgetting to account for is percent accuracy. Rampage was definitely hitting Forrest harder, but he was missing a lot in the exchanges too, maybe Forrest was landing more punches.

Both guys disappointed in different ways. Rampage didn't push forward the way I thought he should have, but Forrest was really disappointing later in the fight. He definitely didn't capitalize on Rampage's leg being weak (except in the 2nd round) and even though he admitted every punch Rampage threw hurt him, he still chose to stand and try to outslug him for 3 rounds after successfully ground and pounding him and coming close to finishing.

I don't think Forrest didn't deserve to win, but I definitely didn't think he fought decisively enough to win by unanimous decision.

One thing that really bothers me about UFC lately is the fairweather fans. They boo indiscriminately and in situations where it isn't warranted. Maybe Forrest didn't fight a great fight, but he certainly didn't deserve to get boo'ed. Had he pounded Rampage a bit harder in the 2nd and stopped the fight I bet he woulda been getting cheers and screams the whole way.

Yeah what a fight! And many good fights overall..
And I think maybe it was a correct call by the judges.. However..I wanted a title-fight between Rampage and Chuck, and that is probably not going to happen..

I believe Anderson Silva is going to dominate at 205 just like he did at 185. So eventually I see him fighting for the title.

We will see how good he is at 205 for free on Spike on the 19th.

I don't think Anderson's gonna stay at 205, I think it's a ploy by the UFC to draw attention away from the Affliction event the same night that has Fedor, Arlovski, Hizzo, Belfort, and lotsa other big name fighters.

Forrest's reach kept Rampage at a distance but when Rampage would get in there he was tagging Forrest pretty good. I thought it could have been a draw with Rampage possibly winning 3 rounds and Forrest winning 2 with a 10-8 round in the second.

But, I'm not a judge and that is why you don't put it in their hands, so they say. Good fight, I can't wait to see the rematch.

I don't know that Anderson Silva will be as dominant at 205, those are some big boys and I wouldn't see him staying there when he can be undeniably the best pound for pound fighter at 185, and continue to murder fools there.

Jester, I agree completely. Genius idea by UFC.

Wait, Affliction event? Is it going to be on PPV? Who's carrying it? I'll watch that instead of the UFC fights. Unless St. Pierre is fighting. The wife will insist we watch St. Pierre.

CB, no St. Pierre on this card. He has a title defense vs. Jon Fitch next month. Affliction will be PPV and definitely looks like the superior event. They got Megadeth performing, what else do you need? Here's the link to the fight card if you wanna scope it.

Lotta guys from UFC past coming outta retirement for this, definitely looks like the card is stacked with some sick fights. Check out the UFC fight card for the night and take into consideration that it's a free event, I'd say it looks like a hastily thrown together effort to divert attention from Affliction.

Rampage vs. Cops. Cops win.

Rampage was busted yesterday for hitting a few parked vehicles and evading arrest.

Here is a picture of his getaway vehicle.
