Hey my little bro wanted to learn how to wakeboard a couple weeks ago, so i started teaching him. First off he got up on his first try (he just turned 12 but is small for his age). He's using my old board and i left the fins on, I was wondering if I should make him take them off? Also I'm thinking about getting him a board for his birthday, mine is a little big on him. Any suggestions/opions would be apreciated.

I dont know if your asking him what you should teach him, or simply if you should take the fins off..

Fins on / off are preference. However, If you ride with out fins, you build stronger / usually better edging habits because you are forced to use your edge instead of using the fins.

He will def feel better on a board appropriate for his size.

I say take the fins of. He mite complain a little( my little bro did to) but after he gets used to it he will be much happier and he'll be alot better at edging properly.
