I got a "beginner" wakeboard for free when i bought the jet skis (we also have a boat) and its not like the usual wakeboards i see around here. Its longer and heavier i think with 3 fins like a surfboard. It looks almost like a short surfboard with bindings. The bindings are like slippers that go around the top of your foot and a stretchy strap that goes around your heel.
This should be good enough for me to just get out of the water (1st time) and ride around but i was wondering what kind it is and why its like that. Is it a really old kind? |

I think my grandparents have one like that. They call it a "Scurfer." They say they bought it at an auction a bunch of years back. I havent riden it and i dont think i will. Its funky lookin to me. Thats all I know!! _________________ Its hard to explain to the average person, why we risk breaking every bone in our body, but you know what, thats what makes our sport so bad ass.-Brian Deegan |

| Im think it may just be really old. Skateboards were longer and more round than the ones today, maybe thats what happened to wakeboards. I dont know but if its like that, i should be able to ride it. |

sounds like a early wakeboard, directional with sandal bindings.
yeah its old.
but would be fine to learn to get up and carve on.
i wouldnt do much jumping with those bindings, kinda dangerous _________________

The bindings are jot vey supportive and like STANG KILLA SS said can be little dangerous. learn to carve and stuff but as you progress i would suggest getting a new board. _________________
