V-grip- unsure on use

How do you use the v-grip (or cheater grip)?

It is used to get into a wrapped stance it think, Don't really know how to use it, I've never used one.

When you're going in for a heelside 3, wrap it around your back, grab the cheat with your lead hand, and when you get some air, drop it and grab the real handle. It's just to provide a little slack when you're learning your spins.
