I did it! It was sweet feeling. I still eat it on the landings a lot. I can probably land 1 out of 10 haha. I keep looking down in the water! I also learned how to do a butter slide on the wake as well. I did catch my toeside edge one time and face planted hard.
Here is a w2w pic! |

Looks like you are coming out the front a bit on that jump.
Try to push your hands to your knees a bit more and you should be able to land back on your heelside edge and ride out more consistently. |

Ive only been wakeboarding for a couple weeks but i cant seem to get enough speed to jump wake to wake. I can go wake to just on the other side of the propwash and i have no problem landing but i feel like im not going fast enough or perhaps my wake isn't big enough, although it does look wider than what i saw in that picture.
what do you do to get your speed up? what speed is your boat going? Do you start out pretty wide and cut in fast or slow or what? |

The boat is normally at 22mph on a 70 ft rope.....I normally cut out pretty far, and I am going to get really good speed on the back edge first, I am still struggling with toe edge tricks but we are working on it. Cut out as far as you can and them try to move out a couple more feet by goingt one handed. |

| Is there any reason to stay on edge the whole time? Why not just ride with your board flat whenever possible? |

| you will be much faster on edge then on the belly of the board, at least for me it seems to increase speed enought that I can get out of the water cleaner |

You'll definitely get faster going in on edge than on the belly. The key is to stand straight / tall at the top of the wake right before you launch. If you are still on edge you won't fly as high and you'll be off balance. This will lead to very hard falls as you catch the heel of your board when you land because you weren't on balance when you popped off the top of the wake. Or at least that's what happened to me...I was hitting the back of my head repeatedly hard enough to see stars. _________________ My Facebook

When you start to cut in for a jump, get on edge because it increases the line tension, and line tension is what makes you pop off the wake
If you cut in with no edge, you get no pop and dont go anywhere.
You want to slowly increase your edging until you are edging your hardest as you hit the wake, this will keep the tension in the line the best, and is the key to a successful / consistent w2w jump |
