Hey I wakeboard in salt water and need an outboard to tilt out of the water. I'm really looking forward to getting some tower speakers but I'm not sure if they'll be able to be heard over the outboard.
First of all, is an outboard any louder?
Has anyone had any luck with getting speakers heard on an outboard and if so, how powerful were they?
Any insight would be great, thanks. This forum is awesome!

Outboards are generally much louder than inboards. The problem you will have is getting enough juice from the outboard to run things like amplifiers, even the biggest outboards have fairly weedy alternators... some only have rectifiers which produce just a few amps to keep the basic stuff going. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk
