hey all, new here, looks like good forum!

I tried wb for the first time sunday and luvd it, been a snowboarder for years, think that helped. I got up fine, was able to carve around and ride switch. goning again this wekend and next (and more and more if I can help it). all i know about the board i used was it was a 143 hypelite with two metal fins on each end and it was 6+ years old. rentals just for the next 2 weekends is looking to be $70+, so I am going to try and buy tomorrow if possible.

I'm 6'2" and 185lbs and trying to make sense of the board technology, like continuous rocker, 3 stage rocker, toe/heel edge specific, different laminate/base materials, etc..

If I plan on one board to ride boat and cable, open water and terrain features, regular and switch stance, are there any certain features in a board I should definitely go for or stay away from?

did more searching and found this link http://connection.wakeside.com/buyers-guides/wakeboards/wakeboard-rocker/

it answered most of my questions about rocker and fins and materials. now I just need to figure out what the point of the toe/heel edge specific boards vs traditional edges. the toe/heel edge specific board to me in snowboard terms sounds like a uni-directional board instead of a true twin tip. anybody?

Im pretty sure all new wakeboards are "true twin tip". Old style directional boards are pointed on one end but boards made now dont have that and are symetrical.
