Anyone on the forum do custom ballast setups? I am looking for some how-to ballast setups for the site. If you have done them I could use a few writeups. I am looking for a custom setup for the Supra boat, Malibu, Tige and any Naut.
If you want parts at cost to do a job let me know and I can get you all the parts you need at cost for a system. I just need you to document the process and take some pictures.
thanks

I did my ballast set up on a D-Drive Supra Saltare this year. I have 2000 lbs all hidden. Is this too old or do you need something for a newer boat? _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

Here are a few pics. I will take a few more this weekend and do a better write up. I have changed it a little since then. I just need 1 more check valve and I am done. The wake is insane with all this weight in it. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

If you want to get a few more pics of that and throw it into a nice how-to let me know.. Is that a check valve from BFI?

| vette74, please do get more pics as my boat has the exact same layout as yours. I won't be able to run 2000lbs, I'll sink my stern, but hidden auto ballast would help a ton. If I could get my rear seat to hold around 650-700 and the bow 500 I'd be happy. |

I'll take some more pics it really wasn't that hard but by the time I bought everything it was expensive. I'll try to get something this weekend hopefully I will have some more time. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

vette74, thanks man. I would really like to see how you constructed the rear seat, and it's finished results. With the raised support how did you keep the overall seats from sticking up above the hull? And as for the added bow supports where you put the bag. I know the supports you removed, did you run replacement supports the span of the bow?
Where is your pump system located? And did you run the water intake through one of the hull through-holes? Or drill another one? And if you want to keep it private, what kind of costs did you incur? You can PM me those is ya want.
Sorry to hit you with tons of questions, it's just our boats are hard to do, and since you've done it, I could learn alot. |

Any 'traction' on this? Would be a very cool how-to. I'm looking to add a bunch of ballast for surfing on top of the stock ballast, which we do manually now. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

I'm really interested for my 87 SunSport. Looking to hide 350 in the rear locker, 500 under rear seat, 500 under the playpen open bow. So far just bought one Flotec Simer pump. _________________ 1987 Supra SunSport |
