I have to say I like Kenwood head units.. I have had many of them and have not had any problems with them...Not knowing how many cabin speakers you have I am going to suggest you run 2 amps 1 for the tower speakers and 1 for the cabin speakers. I have nto found a head unit yet that will properly power a 6 quality speakers in a boat. I am a Kicker Amp fan..onlinecarstereo.com usually has some deals. I bought some stuff from them for my last boat..
Good luck. _________________ www.wakeboardoklahoma.com

Do you really need a headunit at all? I use my iphone exclusively while at the lake. Just run RCA jacks to the amp directly from your ipod.
If my boat didn't come with the head unit, I wouldn't bother purchasing one. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/greasemonkeytv |

If you're really looking for a good marine headunit that can put out that kinda power, you need an amp, but for the headunit's choice, I would go for either Clarion or Pioneer, and amp up all that stuff with an alpine amp, what do you guys think? |

When you're looking for a head unit for a boat, there are 2 things to consider: Is it gonna be exposed to the sun/rain, and do you want separate remotes?
My boat has the Kenwood head unit tucked in the glove box with a helm control, and a transom remote. Those are both very handy. I don't like the Kenwood though. Clarion makes a much better product for they're marine line. |
