hello all. i've been wakeboarding for about half a season last summer. i first got a board from a friend that was about 137cm, and about 35 cm wide. my tow vehicle is a 2006 seadoo wake(a waverunner with a ski pole on it). it couldnt pull me up.

i then got a larger board, ita about 141 cm, long and about 42 cm wide.
now i can get up just fine, and ride behind the waverunner.

when i tow my lighter friends, i can pull them around 20 mph. they have to pull me around 27 mph.

if i get a larger board, would i be able to slow down?

i just remember one time, i was trying to jump and finally clear the wake, and the speed, once i jumped, pulled me foreward. i fel like if i can get pulld at a slower speed, i will be able to jump better( or at least have more controll.

so who makes big boards?

also, how bout a kiteboard. liquid force makes a wide board thats about 145 long and 45 wide. the only problem...its $500

also, for more float, and i looking for a longer board or a wider board?

I purchased a 06 Hyperlit Era 147 last year from BoardsNMotion.com. Not to expensive if your willing to buy a older model.

Once you get in the air pull the rope to your lead hip.
