|

For the last two weekends i have been wakeboarding using my cousins board, a hyperlite fluid 137, but i have had serious difficulty getting up and staying going. Im 6'4, 220 pounds so i am wondering if the board is just to small and what size board i should get because his board seems a too small. I was checking around and thinking about getting a package deal. Here are two i found that i could use some help on.
The first is a hyperlite motive 144 and foundation bindings
http://boardersmall.com/xcart/product.php?productid=18888&cat=599&page=2
The second one i am wondering about is a hyperlite state either in a package deal http://boardersmall.com/xcart/product.php?productid=18220&cat=322&page=3 or buy an 07 state and some bindings.
Just wondering if these would be a good choice or not. thanks. |

The model of board is more a of a preference... as for size
I'm 6'2, 180ish and i ride a 142... I could see how with an extra 40lbs and 5 less cm, it would be a problem. I'm switching to a 140 this season because i've improved alot and ride a little faster and my board feels kinda big.
I'd definatly go with atleast a 142, look at the width of the board too. A board that is 1cm wider over a length of 140+ cm, is 140 cm^2 extra surface area. compared to if you take the same board and extend its length by 5, where its width could only be 15, so thats only 60cm^2
For the time being, once you get up, pick up the speed a bit while your riding, will help a bit til you can get a bigger board |

Motive Board will be best for you as a beginner. That board will help you learn the fundamentals of wakeboarding. Its a more smooth and predictable board than the state. Also the Foundation bindings will be the easiest to put on and take off compare to any other Hyperlite binding/boot. Boardersmall is a great company to buy from as well. _________________ Also Calskater23 |

Its a win win, great board for you, at a very good price, from a very good company. Just a heads up tho, don't expect an order confirmation email. But you should get a UPS tracking # the day after you order. _________________ Also Calskater23 |
