Hey everyone! I just wanted to post up and say hi. I've been casually wakeboarding for many years now but just a few times a season. Recently some friends got into the sport and bought a Supra so I've have been going a little more frequently lately and came here looking for some tips on tricks and gear.
I ride what I think is an old school board. It is a 99 Hyperlite Latitude 141 http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard.asp?boardid=317
with 99/00 Liquid Force Pro Suction bindings which are a pain to get in and out of, but I love the support and control I get out of them. Probably not the best gear anymore but I can still get (what I consider) big air for being 5'10 and 225lbs. I normally ride at 60 foot off and 22 mph.
My trick list is limited, but includes nose and tail grabs, clearing wake to wake, and being able to land jumps with either foot forward.
Here's a few unimpressive pics from our last trip out. It was blowing 25 mph so we were hugging the dam to get some calm water.
going for a grab over the wake:
Mid flight...I think I was pretty high on this one too, but its hard to tell.

That was my second board!!! What a legend! The Lat 141, Trust me though, if you think you get control with that setup, treat yourself to a new board and bindings.
You would not believe how much boards have progressed in the last 9 years. When you bought that board, moulded fins hadnt even been considered, and I think that was around the time that LF brought out the trip.
Try and demo some new boards and bindings and i can guarantee you wont be disappointed.
I f'in love that latitude, how sick is the sunset graphic on the base. LOVES IT!! _________________ burrrap |

| You're not helping!!! I already have the new board bug but for as little as I ride (about 3 times a season) it is hard to justify. There is supposedly a place in Houston somewhere that will let you take boards for a demo ride before you buy them so I might have to go try a few out. |
