It seems like every time I do a wake jump I get only like 4 or 5 feet above the wake and just fly like 5-10 feet into the flats... I dont think the boat is going too fast because its at like 20 to 21. Is my progressive edge too sharp or what? heres a pic of my wake.

Is that a nylon rope? If so, that is probably the problem.

you might be starting your edge too far out, thus, carrying a bit too much speed into the wake.

Try not cutting out so far and see what happens.

Usually that's caused from too much speed and letting off your edge at the wake. In the first pic you have slack in the line which indicates either 1-you are using a nylon rope 2-you are carrying a lot speed and lettting off at the wake.

Looks likes a nylon rope, but that really wouldnt cause you to fly into the flats

thats just because your carrying too much speed into the wake

If you cut out 15 feet when you jump, try only cutting out 10

BUT, still have the same edge strength when you hit the wake.... its fun to try to clear the wake with only cutting out like 5 feet heh

You have easily enough height in that first pic to do any base inverts - BR, Tant, Crow etc. Sure those that can do other stuff will tell you that you could do plenty more besides, but that should keep you going for a bit...
If you are anything like me you will find going for HS BRs will help you get more vertical pop when you start going for them.
Sounds to me like you are trying to talk yourself out of them. Just go at a couple...

i do hs br, and ts FR's alot. Tantrum is gettin worked on on the tramp. Inverts are not much of a problem i think i dont cut out as far when im about to do those. Should have thought of that earlier.

I didn't see this above, but what length are you riding? Add five feet and see if that helps.

Confused
OK you've lost me now. So the problem is you are getting four feet of air and landing in the flats, and this is only enough to do 3's and, err, inverts?
So this is actually a "help needed with my 5's and 7's post"? Or is it just that elusive 1080 that you are after?

does that wake look sick or what? Not too bad for a 17 foot boat w/ only 150 pounds in the ski locker and 100 pounds in the bow....

brichter14, definitely not a bad wake. As for the 5s...HS might be a little challenge as I find I need to pop big on those, but you could easy whip a TS 5 around with that wake. They come around really fast. You dont need any more height than for a TS 3, which still isnt much height.
