So, I'm one of the many people on this forum who has had nothing but good things to say about Monster Tower. I bought mine back in January. Recently, my board rack started peeling. I took some pics today and sent them an email. I'm hoping (and confident) that they will make good on the defect under warranty.

In case anyone cares, I got a response today.

We have resolved the problem and would be more than happy to replace your rack with another chrome or just to play it safe a brushed and anodized rack that cannot pit. Please let us know what address to ship to and we'll send out the replacement rack minus the mounting bracket as they are not chromed along with a return shipment label so we can get the damaged rack back. feel free to contact us with any questions at your convenience.

Just got an email from Monster with my UPS tracking number. New rack will be here on Thursday.

Rack got here today. Also included in the box: A half dozen Monster Tower coozies, 7 stickers, 2 2007 Monster Girl calendars, and a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send the old rack back at no cost to me. Mr. Green

Any chance you would want to send a few of those stickers my way? We are getting a boat with a monster tower. But all the stickers have been used already.....

I had a bad bolt on my tower. New one showed up 2 days after I phoned them along with free swag. Who else would do that? I think almost any other company out there can learn a thing or two from Monster Tower and their service policy. They ACTUALLY put their customers first, and don't treat us like we are a pain the the a$$. I hope their success continues, they deserve it.

On another note, the calander they sent me got more attention then the tower! Not one person could walk into my garage without noticing it and having to look. Women, men, old and young alike all had something to say about it. They should have a subscription for it.

I've had this problem twice now. After a year of use (on FRESH water only!) the chrome comes off and it looks like this, only not that bad.

My local retailer has given me polished racks now (without letting me know), so this problem won't occur anymore. Because i've ordered chrome racks in the first place, i want new chrome racks under warranty.
The retailer hasn't responded very helpful, and told me to go to the Dutch importer. So i've called them, they told me to go to the retailer because they're not willing to send me new racks anymore, and disconnected the call. Not very friendly.

Are there more people here with similar problems? And does anybody know how this could happen twice while using them only on fresh water and without using any agressive cleaners (i only use water to clean them)?

SanderB, I would highly recommend you take the Brushed and Anodised racks over the chrome versions - they are far more hard wearing and look great!

If you've had difficulty with Chrome it will keep happening, you may not be in salt water but other factors can affect the longevity of chrome - where as the anodised finish is relatively maintenance free; its a win win for you Very Happy

Just wanted to give more "props" to MonsterTower. I purchased racks on ebay that had the wrong clamps. Called MT planning to purchase the correct ones. They sent them for FREE! No charge for shipping, and yes, even sent a couple of coozies & stickers.

The best part is, the clamps arrived before the racks.


What a great company.
