iMOVIE experts?

I need to download a DVD and create an iMOVIE with it on my MAC. It won't let me download, what am I doing wrong? I'm new to the program.

I'm not sure what your actually trying to do. But if you want to rip the DVD on to your computer. Use a program called Handbrake.

I want to import an existing DVD into iMOVIE to edit it.

Ok first you must rip the dvd onto your computer(use handbrake) after you do that I believe all you have to do is file -> import then find the file.
