That vest is probably one of the best selling vests that Hyperlite has had over the past few years. I think it was the redesigned Parks vest to start and then it became the Special Agent when Parks went to another company.

| i loved the way the law vest looked but after a buddy of mine tryed it on neither of us liked it, bulkley under the arms and shoulders. If you dont mind having non cg approved id go with the catalyst its nasty.

I only carry the boardshorts from the company that makes 'the law'. That is an Oneill vest, right?

im not a big fan. The A-10 is classic design. Its not bad for a CGA vest though.

You can drown wearing an A-10, WTF is anyone wakeboarding on a public lake in one?

alfromscotland,
A-10 blows. I rode for one session with one and was afraid to go big because i didn't like having to swim to stay afloat.
I have a CWB vest. It's the 2008 essential. I haven't used it in water, but from what i've learned while trying it on, it's great. It's CGA, but not too bulky and it's side entry which i like a lot.

| i actually liked my a-10 when i still had it. i wore it the other day and didn't mind it at all (my other vest, a FLAK jacket from helium, was wet and cold). it's all about protection with the NCGA vests, so you either want protected (if you are an advanced rider planning on some harsh falls) or you want to float. your call.

The Special Agent is a great fitting vest. It's not too thick at the top.

| Wakebrad, the law was my favorite cga vest i've tried on. a little pricy but if you're willing to spend the cash it can't be beat.

+1 for Special Agent. Although the size was just a tad tight, the floatation of it is great. An a10 blows as far as keeping you up compared to it. I prefer to have my head above the rollers, not thru them.

alfromscotland - the A-10 is a NON-CGA vest. If you have one make sure you know that the vest is not coast guard approved.

I don't think the Law is any thicker than in past years. They are using a new foam style in the high end CGA vests, though. It's got perforations/slices on the outsides which were added to help the thicker foams flex easier. If you push out on the vest (from the inside) you'll see how the foam looks like it's in 1" squares.
I definitely give the Law vest an A+ as far as CGA vests are concerned. I finally killed the Law vest that I've been using since it came out 3 years ago or whatever.
The A-10 vest is a waste of money IMO.

Mine is about done too.... It just seems thicker through the middle, maybe because I have beat the crap out of mine also.

I just tried on the hyperlite CGA vest and it seems less restrictive. I forget the name.
