Shane 08 setup

Alreet peeps,

Im thinking about getting a Shane 08 setup im 6'2" and about 180lbs so ima go for the 140 (although i currently ride a byerly 137). And go for some closed toe boots.

Anyone who has this gear or who has tried it who could give me any advice as to how good/ rubbish this gear is?

Try before you buy unfortunatly isnt an option when you live in the north east of scotland. I like an agressive board with some sick pop so i think it will be right up my ally. As for the bindings, they look sick and should be comfy as hell and keep my toes cosy in loch ness!!

alfromscotland, your size will be perfect for the 140. as for the bindings i used to have a pair of the 06's and the 07's and i loved them both. i never had any problem with them at all. the 08 frame looks a little different but if it's made by LF then im guessing they will be just as good or better than the 06 and 07's.

I'm 5'10 187lbs and I've been riding the 136 shane w/ shane bindings for 3 years now. I'll never go back to another board or binding setup.

You should know that you're supposed to ride the shane a bit shorter than a normal board because it's wider.

My 08 bindings are more comfortable than my 07's, and the plate is sturdier. You can't go wrong.

Im gonna stick with the 140, im a big lad and i was riding a 143 when i was back and it felt good. I used to ride a 141 then switched to the byerly 137, so i recon 140 is a happy medium. I dont recon 3cm is going to make much difference really.

I like the styling on the LTD but i LOVE LOVE LOVE the black on black. Ill be like scottish nightrider without the flashing jacket on the berlin wall.

i'm 5'9 160lbs and ride the 140...i dig it, but i'm a fan of bigger boards.

alfromscotland, they got too small on me. im 6'3" 160lbs. and i went up to the ronix one 142.

6'3" and 160lbs? I thought i was light for my height!!

I have ordered the 140 with the shane 08 boots in black. Although for delivery in 1 to 3 days is costing me over $300!! Hot damn! Oh well, nessy is gonna be as jelous as all other dinosaurs are of him.

If it gets dispatched today, i might even have it in time for next wednesdays shread. I will send you all gloating pictures which will be over very little interest to anyone but make me feel a bit more famous Smile
