You're going to get as many different answers as there are boards. Everyone believes their choice is the best.
You'll also get the the standard answer which is to demo gear until you find the right setup for you. Not always possible unless you have a local shop.
Posting your size, your skill level, and your budget may help to narrow the field down some as well.
