|

well i shouldnt say worst, no body got hurt so thats good.
allitle background, been riding a shitty 99 obrien and wrap bindings since 99. well this winter my g/f got into wakeboarding so i decided to get serious as well and get some decent gear. researched a LOT. and started saving money. picked up a new in wraper '07 3DS 139 for $115 on ebay, and Ed at boardstop gave me a KILLER deal on some 07 LF fusion bindings(huge thanks) so i could afford to have some decent gear. all brand new. wow what a difference they made.
we were headed out to the lake in pop's fish and ski boat. boards laying on the floor like they always have for years.(has a 2' tall rail all the way around) well on the FM road my board decides to catch air and fly out the back of the boat. and does cartwheels down the chunky asphalt at 75mph. before finally slaming on the bindings and sliding the last 100 feet on the bindings.
absolutly destroying both.
board had 6 rides on it, bindings only two.
i dont think audrey had every seen such rage, and hurt in my eyes ever.
really sucks cause i take such good care, and had such pride in this fancy gear. and had really been amped about my improved riding all winter. now i have nothing, and no way can i afford to replace either. that board was perfect for me. just sucks cause my season is done. worst yet i missed the first warm/smooth day of the season.
just really a shitty day for me.

Wow, that really does suck. Sorry to hear about your board.
Like you said though, at least no one got hurt. Imagine a wakeboard coming through your windshield at 75 mph.
As for a replacement, I'm confident that if you want it badly enough, you'll find a way to get another board.
Good luck.

try sending a letter to wbm. if you're lucky, they will hook you up with some new gear if it's the letter of the month. sorry about your accident though. if that were me, i would literally cry

Too angry to be sad? sounds like me when i got robbed at gunpoint standin by my mom as some sketchy kids stole about 2G's worth of me and my friends gear out of my truck and i couldnt do stuff. they reversed the whole lot and my stupid POS 4 banger couldn't catch em. If i had my bike then... have a feelin i would have had a long court case in front of me
I mean i can deal with that stuff gettin jacked but the fact that my mom was by my side as two trashy kids just laughed pointin their stupid toy. I wanted to kill them for scarin my momma sooo bad

See if anybody has extra boards lying around that they wouldnt mind gettin rid of. If i still had a few intact, i'd try and hook u up. but i just broke my last extra board

| Long story short, I had some warranty problems with it, I started www.chattwake.com, Malibu wasn't real interested in putting me in an 08 for the site and Correct Craft was - ipso facto I'm picking up a new 230 on Friday.

will do! im actually thinking of trying to repair them. ive dabed in fiberglass work in the past. allitle epoxy or jb weld (sands much easier) to fill in the missing parts, and then resin and glass cloth to finish it off. and the bindings i think are still usable maybe some super glue will probly fix them. the pull string part seemed to miss the damage.
and on the 3ds the fins are aluminum. only one got bent. i will try to bend it back but aluminum doesnt like that so it will probly just snap and ill just dremel it smooth. its only about the last 1/4" of one of them so it should be fine. ill put it on the front heel side.
should perform as good as new. allitle heavier, but will ride just find at my level. pride will still be hurt knowing it was brand new gear lol. and those primer spots will always be a constant reminder

wake eater, Don't get me wrong, I loved my VLX. The boat was super roomy, had a great wake, and the fit and finish of the vinyl is awsome. My first thought was to get another VLX, but CC just worked harder for my business.
You really can't go wrong with either a VLX, an LSV, a 210 or a 230. Those are all awsome boats.

Wow. I have to give wake eater props here. Very generous thing to do. We need our rating system back so I can give that one a big star.
Ed, you need to send this guy a calendar or somethin!

tg--i didnt know u got the 230 from ryan. thats awesome!! the hometown boy comes thru!!

HUGE thanks! ill tell the fedex handlers to ignore your comment though lol.
ill keep you updated for sure, ill see what i can do to find a UT sticker around here for ya
when i get on my feet one of these days, and can afford some new gear, maybe i can pass this board on to another member in need. that would be cool.
i think my bindings are savable. wont be pretty, but i think they will work just fine with allitle repair.
definatly very gratefull Chuck.
thank you VERY much.
