Troy and I have been working on a price bot and just released the beta version for wakeboarders.
GearH2O - Wakeboard
Basically this allows you to automatically find the lowest prices on over 400 wakeboards / bindings and thousands of accessories by monitoring the top 300 stores including:
Evogear, Tommy's, Green House, Boards N Motion, Board Stop, Pro Board Shop, Wake Giant, Performance Ski, Carolina WS, Ride Water Sports, The Wake House, Buy Wake, Sun and Ski, Glass and Powder Boardshop, The House, Ski Pro, Barts Water Sports, Wakeside, M2 Sports, Innov 8, Marine Products, Rip Tanks and hundreds more.
Now that we have the beta up, we are looking for feedback (both positive and negative) from wakeboarders.
1. What (other) stores would you like?
2. Are we missing any brands or gear that you guys are looking for?
3. Any general suggestions? Problems?
This website is two guys straight out of college that are trying to avoid a 'real job'. Not a large corporation. This means that we will actually listen to your feedback and will reply to every post / email.
Thanks,
Mark Silliman - GearH2O.com |

Great paus21. Have any problems with any? Anything not perfectly intuitive etc?
Thanks for the feedback!

| No. It worked pretty well and I found a pretty good price. Couldn't pass it up. Only thing was I just got an email saying they were out of stock but I found the same thing on another site you had listed for only a few bucks more. |

One suggestion I have would be to add apparel - like shirts, hats, jackets, etc....Otherwise this is a great site!!! _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

"I just got an email saying they were out of stock". Ya, that sucks. Obviously if their own website doesn't say the item is out of stock it's pretty hard for our bots to figure this out.
"One suggestion I have would be to add apparel - like shirts, hats, jackets, etc" You see our soft goods dept (~5000 items):
Softgoods - GearH2O
"Maybe throw some wakeskates into the mix?" Yep we got 24 so far. Troy wouldn't let us go live without 'em.
Wakeskates - GearH2O |

Great idea that would work good for closeout last years stuff.
All the prices for the new stuff should be the same price though due to the MAP guidelines. Any shops advertising prices below MAP risk loosing their product lines. _________________ wakeboards

Thanks for the feedback guys.
TheBiggmann - If you go to any binding you can select the size at the top then the prices will narrow.
Dragon88 - We help retailers get around MAP. For starters every retailer has the right to promote a lower price than MAP for some period of time though it's normally very restrictive. Though they cannot promote lower prices on their website, they can give GearH2O coupons (which lots do) bringing their prices below MAP. |

It would be nice to not have to click on every item and find that they only have smalls left. How about including the size on the main pages, not just on the individual items page.

Ya this is actually already in place. What you do is go to any product page, narrow by size then the system will remember that you want size X. From there on those item's prices will be adjusted (on the main page) for all the items. |
