| Hey, I'm looking to buy a new wakeboard. I'm currently on an older O'brien that I learned on but I've kind of outgrown it skill wise I think. I'm about 6'2", 215, and am right around an intermediate level right now I'd say, but I'm gonna be doing a lot of wakeboarding over the summer as I'll finally have time and a driver consistently. What do you guys suggest I look at that will last me. I don't wanna outgrow another board because I bought more of a beginner board, but I don't wanna spend much more than about $250 for the board alone, so I dunno where that leaves me. My parents agreed to pay for the bindings. Someone on another site suggested that I look at the '07 Hyperlite Murray, as that goes for a pretty decent price and he really liked his. Just looking for any suggestions or advice that you have. Thanks! |

| The 07 murray is a good board. I actually ride that board now and I really enjoy it. I am a little different in size than you are but if you get the 142 I think you would be ok. If you think you might be getting a little bigger yet I would go with something bigger than a 142, such as a 144 or so. Are you looking to buy any particular brand? |

| Well then I will suggest a couple boards for you to go along with the Murray. First of all, the Ronix Vault is a good intermediate board. My friend rides that board and he really enjoys it. He is a little lighter than you are, so there may be some differences there. Next, the Hyperlite State would possibly be a good board for you as well. Although I have no experience with this board, I have heard pretty good things from it for an intermediate rider. |

I have an 06 Murray 142 that has been used very little. Where are you located? _________________ Larry |

Go to a boardshop and talk to them about demoing boards. thats way you dont get stuck with a board that doesnt fit the way you ride _________________ Hesitation leads to pain |

| Any thoughts on the Era? Also, what about bindings? I was kinda half looking at some Zeus' cuz theres a nice deal on boarders mall, but I guess I don't know a ton about them. Any suggestions in that area/on the Ruck? |

They had some leftover Zeus and Zeus limiteds recently on boardersbestbuy.com. If they're offering the same deals at boardersmall, you could definitely do worse than those bindings for a starter pair. _________________ Hilton Head Wake Sports.com
