What am I doing wrong?
Im coming into the wake with the same cut as a TS Backroll, but im getting hung up on the handle pass. I either spin it without the handle and slipout handless, or just freeze upside down.
I dont think my TS 3s are dialed in enough, so that might be my problem.... any suggestions on how to get my body to rotate the 3 ? _________________ stay clean, like me

The key to a pete is a little more angulated cut coming into the wake verses a toeside backroll where you might be a little more squared off. When you pop it is very important to go for the grab really focusing on lifting your front foot up as much as possible to get that strait up and down pop. Getting the grab helps you complete the rotation, you will find that you have completely 270 right after the peak of your flip, that is when you let go of the grab, and reach for the handle, and it should be all good _________________ Liquid Force

pete rose is a love/hate relationship with me
ilubronix summed it up fairly well. my advice? throw some ts r2r's and get the 180 early. as he said, try to lift your front leg up more to stay more balanced in the air. once you get comfortable with that, just toss it. i don't think you should worry about the handlepass, i always land my stuff blind and grab it right as i land, not in midair. i really don't know how else to say how to throw it, i just go out there, think about what all there is to it, and just do it and see how it feels.
good luck! |

| As for your ts 3, think of it more as a ts 180 to blind, if that makes sense. Done properly, it almost doesn't feel like a 360. Go up, do the 180 without turning your head yet, then do the second 180 on the way down. Oh, and grab that sucker! |

holdsworth, i saw your vid man, you gotta grab your pete with your skills, no reason not to!! SICK RIDING. It honestly feels like a completely different trick when you grab it, instead of your board doing all the work, you literally control the entire trick. I remember learning pete's and i swear, those were the worst falls i have ever taken, much worse than raleys (although i never really had a bad raley fall...that i can remember) _________________ Liquid Force

ilubronix, thanks! there's a video that does have my pete in it that i'll dig up the link from. in the vid, it's at about the 2:20 mark, but the rest of the video is good to watch too (my boy clayton underwood threw it together from nwl nationals last year). i do need to learn to grab it though, for sure.
with the falls, my whole body went numb after catching my back edge at the peak of the down wake on a pete. worst feeling ever being underwater not being able to move
link: (make sure to right click on the vid and click zoom in. click and hold to reposition...imo it looks a little better )

I'm nowhere near on pete's but i learned TS r2r's with a nose grab...never even tried without, and it really helps you control your rotation. I need to try a pete though, everyone tells me my r2r looks like im gonna take it to pete, cause I do the 180 on the way up. I just am so pissed of crowmobes that I don't wanna try any mobes anymore _________________
