I got a closeout for this board with LF Omni bindings for $260

He said the bindings would be good for me considering the feel I want...with some control over my feet and not locked in.

ANy experience or thoughts on the board/bindings/price?

Thanks!

The omni's are universal bindings, meaning they are made to fit any size foot. You'll probably want to upgrade them quickly. They are durable and good quality, but probably not the best performing binding by any means. Look around for some 06 alpha's they are pretty much everywhere, or possibly hyperlite drives, they're pretty easy to find, and most dealers would be pretty happy to get rid of them

Is it still $400? It is last years model though. He had 5 of them in his shop sitting there.

I think he gave me the biggest bargain, because I bought the whole family outfit: 5 ski vests/life jackets, tube tow rope, boarding rope and handle, airhead stingray 2 tube, 2 pairs water skis, and my board, maybe.

Yea, he kind of alluded to that fact, that I may want to trade up on them eventually, but that they did fit my want of something a bit "looser" feeling.

Thanks all for the input thus far.

Picked everything up yesterday (including all of the kids and wifes stuff), and I like the Omni's... I tried on a bunch of others there, and the Omni's even though they may not be the "best" have the action I am looking for. Dont forget, I am coming from sandal type bindings n my old board, so this is already a huge step up in support, which I would like to be somewhat minimal.

Some of the other boots were just way too stiff, and I dont think I like that on water.

I wont know for about another month and half Sad Overnigt lows still in the 20's Mad

don't sweat the lower end bindings right now. they'll work for your first real setup. they'll also give you a sense of what you are looking for next summer when upgrading.

Thanks, yea, I figure I wont be doing anything major this year except re-learning some of the basics going from what I was used to on my old board vs. the newer shapes and rocker.

We shall see! My wife is either going to b impressed or laugh her arse off at me the first couple of times Cool
