FYI to all the DIYers in this forum.

This is the DIY Forum, no need to reemphasize DIY in the thread title..........

Hollywood; seriously? I don't really see the problem with putting DIY in the title. By the way great manual man! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Just seems redundant, that's all.

I started building one myself. Great manual. Aerospeed on Ebay sells the same lights that eautochamps did. I purchased 3 pairs of chrome oval style for $42.00 delivered to door step.

Although no longer a boat owner, I still like to drop in from time to time. Looks like a very nice light bar and within reason and cost. Well documented too I might add.

Several years ago during a winter, I decided to build a lightbar and speaker bar. Even the cans were DIY! I made 10 inch and 8 inch cans.

For my lights, I used a slightly more complex wiring system as I wanted it to do different things to fit my use.

Here's a couple of pics and a link to a vid and .PDF file to show several builds before finally ending up with the one in the last pic. I had a GREAT time building it and gots tons of comments on it. (no lake patrol ever stopped me for it either - but only used the flashing stuff during the day.

The MAIN question people have is how I did the clamps from the lightbar to the tower. I got some aluminum flat stock and literally walked into a tech high school shop class, and told them about my project and the instructor/teacher said OK, so one 'team' took it on as a class assignment. The did the blueprints, tooling and cutting using a CNC mill. Cost - ZERO! Now THAT is thinking outside the box!

There were several modifications since the .PDF file. Last good pic was this one..... OOPS.. sorry for not resizing Laughing Remember everything was hand polished by me. No chemical treatment or chrome anywhere (except the lights)
