Well here is the deal. I am buying a new board before this summer, but I have found myself stuck on deciding which board I want to purchase. I have narrowed it down to three, and I would love to just go demo them to see which I like the best because I know choosing a board is all about personal preferance, but there is no where even remotely close to demo a board around here. So I want all of your opinions on the three boards.
If you have one of them that would be great and tell me what you like and don't like about the board. But basically I want to know how they ride, pop, landing, etc.
Also I would say I am better than average rider, so it doesn't need to be a beginner/intermediate board or anything. And I would like it to have a lot of pop, but nice soft landing because my knees have seen better days. |

| Obviously you didn't take the time to read what I said. There is no where around here to demo anything. |

I can't demo when I buy either, and two years ago I went with the PS3 over the watson and shane just because of what I read about the board rocker/shape wise...
All three boards will have a lot of pop and soft landings. The Shane will have the most straight up whereas the Lyman and PS3 will give you more distance. I've never ridden the Shane or Lyman but I think the Lyman would be the one I would choose out of those three simply because I'd like to try something new. I have absolutely nothing against my PS3.
All I can tell you to do is check out LF's website and the features of the boards. Then go to www.wakeside.com and www.wakeworld.com to read up on some reviews of the boards. You shouldn't have any problems finding tons of reviews on 06 and 07 PS3's and Shanes over at wakeworld.
Hopefully LakeIolaLuke will chime in, he's pretty familiar with all the new LF gear for 08 _________________ Wake Forest University |

Thannks Blindside_137, I'll be sure to check out LF's website and wakeworld.
You say the Shane will have more of a verticle pop where as the Lyman and PS3 will carry farther into the flats. How big of a difference do you think the shane is with going into the flats? |

I currently ride a PS3 141 (2006). I just got a chance to demo the Lyman 139 this week. The first thing I noticed about the Lyman was how fast it was. As soon as I set it on edge we were off and running!
Keep in mind that I'm a good bit bigger than recommended for a 139 but I'm finding (after riding friends' 140 Axis and 138 Substance) that a slightly smaller board feels more natural to me.
When all's said and done though, my final response is that any of those boards are a solid choice and you'll probably be happy with any of them.
Just to muddy the waters a bit though, make sure to check out the Witness too.

So we got 13 votes and only 2 people cared to give their input. Come on guys I want to hear what you think about the board personally.
HHI Dave, How was the pop on that Lyman when you rode it? |
