Nikon has announced its latest consumer-level DSLR, the D60. It's a 10.2MP digital camera that will look and feel remarkably familiar to users of the D40X. It includes an anti-dust system that incorporates a self-cleaning sensor unit that shakes off dust, coupled with an airflow system designed to channel dust away from the sensor. The model also adds active d-lighting, a stop-motion recording mode and Expeed branding.

Nikon is doing alot lately. I wish canon would wake up and realize the industry has caught up and is now surpassing. Anyone see the 24mp full frame sensor with IS from Sony?

I don't think that 24mp sensor has IS. I think Sony is just incorporating IS into their bodies as opposed to their lenses like Canon and Nikon currently do. Smart move.

Well I believe that "super steady shot" is physically moving the sensor. however you want to interpret that.

Just pulled the trigger on one of these... should be here tomorrow.

I got the package with the 18-55 VR lens. I added a Non-Nikon external flash to the order. Best price that I could find (of a "reputable" online vendor, new, with Nikon USA warranty, rechargeable battery vs demo non rechargeable battery, consumer accessary kit, and all the other scams) was with B&H.
