Hey everyone, I just purchased a boat that the previous owner made a tower for. Let me say that he did a very nice job on it. However, he welded chain tow hooks to the top of it for hooking the rope on. He was a novice boarder and was just using a cotton rope with a D-ring to connect the rope. I'm afraid that the hooks will rub through my good rope, so I want to replace the hooks with something else. What have you guys used for your DIY towers? Thanks for your help.

www.diytower.com sells some DIY parts - could be worth checking their hardware section.
Otherwise, maybe just tie an old bit of rope to the tow point, then tie your rope to the old rope...
or.... just don't worry about it... unless you're dealing with sharp edges chances are it'll be a while before you chew through the rope... and you can always re-splice it and shorten it 6 inces _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk
