hey guys im new to this whole thing I skateboarded for about 6-7 years is wakeskating similar? i just bought a boat and a wakeboard and wanted to try wakeskating i was sponsered for skating and was pretty good at snowboarding but was wondering if theres anything i need to know specifically about this sport? thanks for your help!  |

m_lesney, nothing much you need to know... search for threads about getting up to get the proper technique down. Once I wakeskated for the first time, I never went back to wakeboarding. Its too much fun and the falls are much less painful.
Check out wakeskating.com also... good info over there.

it's similar to skating in some ways, it is going to help your style alot, every skater that wakeskates, that i know, always have better style then those without. i think you'll like the feeling of being strapless better because of your skating background  |
