i've currently got a ron marks rythm stick wakeboard and i want to wakeskate. the rythm stick has got a foam top (i know, its weird) i was wondering should i just take the bindings off to wakeskate or am i better off investing $200 on somethin like a jstar distortion?
if yes wat are some cheap wakeskates that i could get?
thanks |

| JOno, I'd look at a flat Liquid Force over either of those boards... I don't know what they cost in Austrailia, but if you really want to wakeskate, you should probably ride a wakeskate (and not a bindingless wakeboard) and a flat Liquid Force would be better than either of those options (and relatively inexpensive). Not sure what all is available to you down there, but if you want something a little nicer, try and get a concave wood Liquid Force or a Hyperlite Catalyst 2.0, Vinyl, or a Byerly board. You can probably find an older Byerly model around in some shops for a decent price. |

JOno, it depends on what you're wanting to get out of it. If you just want a break from wakeboarding and something to goof around on then a foamed wakeboard will be ok.
If you actually want to be able to do tricks (ollies, shove-its, kickflips, etc) you're going to want to get an actual wakeskate. The problem you have is that wakeboards are too big, too light, and not shaped quite right. You will have a lot more control with a real wakeskate, and that's important when you're learning or it can be pretty frustrating. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

JOno, i'd recomend a new(newwakeskates.com) if you aren't willing to spend alot of money and they aren't cheap quality they are extremely well made boards, dont get foam grip, when you ride with griptape i guarantee you'll like it way better
i'd recomend any skate from devotid, integrity, oak, sattelyte, or new |

| I think I may have some FWT traction pads in the garage if you are interested in purchasing them.... they screw right in to the binding mount holes & give you a little bit of a "kick -tail"...... Just a thought.... |
