boat tower broken

i have a 1999 super air nautique while i was bording the tower broke at the rear mount right on the weld. i am looking for people that this has happend to as well. luckily no one was hurt. thank you

i talked with correct craft today and thay hooked me up on repairing my boat. Real good people to work with thay did me right. Larry

Contact Correct Craft and ask for a new tower. At least make sure they cover the cost of having a certified welder to repair the tower. I assume it boke on the weld or right above the weld. When having it repaired make sure you take the tower off the boat. Slag and heat from welding can do extreme damage to the hull and interior.

Seen it a few times. Gotta have it welded together and re painted. They had a bad weld joint there.

how long have you had the tower? hope the company gives you a new one or fixes the one you have

Definately a bad weld and like nor-cal said they MUST take it off the boat to do the welding.

is this the 1999 tower if so they did have some problems with that. i have a new 01 flight control tower on my pro air

If you reweld it,it probably will give again. use a solid metal dowel and insert it in the broken area then drill and tap.

I agree with everyone else, sounds like a bad weld. I would definatly contact CC and see if they would incure any costs, after all the boat has a "5 year bumper to bumper warrenty"

Depends if it was a tower from the factory or installed at the dealer, most good dealers will take care of you if you purchased it from them. If not find a better place for your boat needs.
