I've had mine for a year now so I don't know what your complaining about.
Find a Target or Wal-Mart and talk to the dorky stockroom guy. He'll tell you when the next shipment comes in. _________________ Steal My Book

Seth - Target. Sunday mornings.
That's how you'll get one. Target. Sunday. When it opens. Be there.

Super Mario Galaxy is great. It's cool that they have the 2nd player option even though it is really a 1 player game. It's very deep and creative.
I waited in line for mine for 3 hours a year ago. Glad I did. I guess this is Nintendo's fault for creating a product that won't stay in stock. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Are you kidding me? One of the ladies at work wanted a Wii last month. She was desperate enough to hit up ebay and to check all the locate stores.
Sure enough she called Game Stop ( weekday, in the AM) and they had 10 Wii in stock.
Took an early lunch and got herself a Wii that day.
It' all about how badly you want something and are willing to do the leg work. _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |

| Dragonlady8, you overstate their availability dear pal. I have one, but still to this day have never seen one in a store, or on a store shelf. Yet they are most certainly getting out there. Target. Sunday. Be there. Get Wii. |

Erik you fail to understand the tenacity of a female.
When we want it NOW, we will get it within 48 hrs. That or you'll never hear the end of it until _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |

Seth that's because its not Sunday!
If Dragonlady finds one for you I recommend you take her up on her offer.
Or. See my post above.
And wait until Sunday. |

A year ago I called every gamestop within 10 miles over the period of a few weeks and figured out when they usually received their shipments. I finally got to one at the exact time the shipment did but there were no Wiis on the truck. According to the sales guy they sold out within minutes of receiving the shipment. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

So I'm assuming that this short supply of Wiis is a marketing scheme and is not actually connected to their production capabilities, no? _________________ Get Frugally Green!

Tyler T, I think the demand is just that high. Nintendo has already shipped far more Wiis than Microsoft has Xboxes and Sony has Playstations. When they did their initial forecasting they didn't expect near this much demand. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Yes. I have a few inside contacts in the game industry, as I've said before. A super good friend is actually the most connected. So - Nintendo is making them - people are buying them, and they are quickly coming to a point where in less time they have more market penetration than the competition. So they aren't just selling a few, they are selling every single one that goes on store shelves, as opposed to the PS3 and 360, which sit on shelves for a bit before being restocked. Wii's just go within an hour of being placed out on shelves, in most places.
But you're right, it is a coy marketing ploy. |

Seth Martin, I can cover from Altamonte to Celebration. But the Game Stop near Michigan Ave is where the lady at work found hers midweek early am. _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |
