I keep getting a pop up every couple of minutes when I am on IE. It just started happening today. I have scanned my computer with my anit virus, and 2 of my spyware/adware programs and none of them found anything. It is getting pretty annoying, can anyone help?
I ran:ESET Smart Security
Spybot Search and Destroy
Ad-Aware 2007 |

| What is the pop up? Some malware is very difficult to get rid of. I acquired some malware once that mimiced Window's security warnings and would keep popping up. The programs you listed above would always find something in their search and may even make it appear that it went away, but it would always comback. I just searched the web and found a fix. |

nmballa, I am running Vista.
Nooga678, It is a different one every time, one of them is just a blank page and I will find out the other ones when I get home from school. |

I used to get these after my comp was infected with spy/adware. I ran adaware and it took care of most of the infections. Spybot cleaned up the rest, but I'm still getting these pop ups ever now and then. Not very constant, but still annoying. _________________ 04 LF Trip 133

kdip, yep thats what I had. Now they only show up every now and then. I should talk to my bro about it. He's a computer wiz. Unfortunately I dont know why this is happening. Maybe switch to Firefox? _________________ 04 LF Trip 133

Check to see if some program was installed on your computer. I've used spybot and adaware and have had no issues when using those programs. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

| I used spybot and adaware again and I found one thing with adaware but it did not solve the problem, I am still getting blank page pop ups. How can I see if some program was installed on my computer? |

Firefox is your friend. I don't know whats wrong with your comp, but I can't recommend Firefox more. IMO much safer, way customizable(it's openware) And just better. You could even say "it just works" _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com
