Looks like a quality camcorder. Is that hard drive based or tape based?
It looks like prices have dropped on the HD camcorders. I'm hoping soon there will be digital cameras that can record HD quality video or video cameras that can take SLR quality snapshots. That would be ideal. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

It is tape.. From what they were telling me it will be much easier to work with tapes than with the HD compression formats on some of the cameras.
I am so out of the tech stuff on camcorders so I really don't know what I am getting myself into. _________________ Wakeskating

flixmaster,
I just used that camera this weekend to record a concert. I didn't happen to have an HDV tape, so unfortunately, i didn't get to check it out in that aspect, but it is a great little camera. He's a clip i shot with it in DV mode, which is just not HD.

Keep in mind, this is with bad lighting. And a lot of background noise/ no external mic. |
