| I'm 34, weight 230lbs. and have been boarding for a year. I currently have a cheap Ebay no namer. I would like something that will last me a few years. My current board feels really unstable. Maybe it's all in my head but I think that if I can feel more comfortable on the board I will progress faster. Any suggestion would be great.. I'm looking at a 2008 CWB Faze 141 W/ Seven bindings. I have not heard much about CWB. |

| Can you demo boards somewhere by your home or where you ride? Demoing a board is such a big help. You can try different styles of boards and boots and not just buy something online that you may not be happy with. |

I am in the same boat as you. The faze is nice for beginners and i have been told it is pretty forgiving. The Seven bindings are the lower quality hing tech boats that CWB puts out but they are supposed to be pretty good. ESPECIALLY for the price i think your selection is nice.... i for one are going a little higher and getting the CWB Kink... probably with the torq or seven bindings! _________________ Ceder Lake, IN |

| I don't have a place to demo the boards. I agree thats the best way to find a board that suites me, but I don't have that option so thats why I came to this board. I have been looking for weeks and I also looked at the CWB Kink w/Vapor or Faction bindings, but I don't know anything about them. |

| ZIRB3L, is right, the kink is very forgiving and a great beginner board, but at this time of year you can find a nice intermidiate thats last years model for the same price, which u would be way more happy with in the long run. |

pepsiman8, spend the money, go with the state/remix combo. a much better board and boot imo. there's a reason why the state is the best selling board perennially. By far the best intermediate board on th markent. you could get it with foundations for $299, but the remix the better boot many times over.

if you call, your can get the state/remix combo, it's just not posted on the website. _________________

a lot of peeps dog me for it, but i'm a huge o'brien fan. i've had a valhalla 138 and currently ride a natural 139. i've ridden a ronix vault and a couple hyperlite boards, but i just love the tracking, pop, and speed of the obrien boards. i'm 33 and 180 lbs and unfortunately only get out 2-3 times a week so i'm no expert at all - so my word may not mean crap, but friends who have ridden my natty have loved it. if you can find one of these boards on clearance, i highly recommend a valhalla or natural. i won't swear by the obrien bindings as much as the boards tho - i ride hyperlite 3ds - super comfy _________________ you have the right to remain silent, so shut the hell up! |

| I would go with something that rides smooth, but has a 3 stage rocker for TONS of pop. Locks on when you are edging but releases early off the wake so you can spin that 9! and dont forget those buttery smooth landings |

| Well, So much for that!!! Four days after I ordered it they called and said it was no longer available. So the hunt continues!!! I found an 07 Absolute Platinum for $279 and some Zues bindings for $190. I am just a little afraid to spent that kind of money on a board and bindings that I have not ridden. |

pepsiman8, you'll be FINE on the Absolute, although I might suggest the Marius for the continuous rocker. If you are 34 and just getting your first real board, you may not be looking for something w/ a harsh pop. But the Absolute is a subtle 3stage, so that's not too harsh. It's a very midrange board - probably CWBs best seller. At 230 lbs - buy the longest one you can find. I might even look around for some other brands to see if you can find a 144. I'm 200 and ride a 142.
The Zues are great bindings, but I'd recommend putting some on before buying if possible. |
