What he's trying to say is that you can buy a high quality used inboard for less money than a new I/O (and the used inboard will throw a better wake).

You can also pick up some new inboard boats for about the same price as a new IO. Moomba and Centurian both make very respectiable boats at affordable prices. I went for the Moomba because it's a bit wider. If they are still out of range then look harder, good deals are out there.

Check out Glastron, and/or my current post titled "Boat Pics-Tower Install/Perfect Pass Question". After I add Perfect pass, I will still have less than $26K into this boat. Bought it brand new last year-has all the options plus a killer stereo system.

My problem is that mastercraft is the only inboard dealer i can find in Arkansas. Mad So that makes finding used boats that much harder. And if something does go wrong with it i will have to drive out of state to get a certified mechanic to fix it. I can pick up a number of i/o off the showroom floor for under $15,000 rigged like i want it. and the upside to this is it is under warranty. When i finish college and start making $100,000+ a year (yeah right) i will buy a brand new mastercraft. As far as used boats go the only ones i'm finding are still $20k+ or are slalom boats.
