Anyone have a jump seat accessory for their X-series boat? I have a X-30 and was thinking about getting it. If you do, how do you like it? Pros? Cons?

I have messed around with them at a boat show. They are nice. Get one.

I have one for my Prostar 205. It works pretty good. Makes it hard to get to bow area, but it seems people do not sit up there often anyway. Also, make it a little tight to get in driver's seat in my boat (direct drive). x30 is huge boat, I couldn't imagine you need more seating, but if you do, it's worth it. It may be better in ddrive b/c you can seat 2 people comfy next to driver, o/w someone sitting in rear all alone.

Does anyone have any close up good quality pictures of the seat. I'd like to look into getting one.

Yep, it's an 02'. I got it last September. I really like the jump seat. My daughter will sit there during the summer. It works well for kids.

I don't like the idea of taking away the walk thru ability.

You just step over it. If you don't need the extra seating then just leave it in the garage. It is only in the boat about 15% of the time.

The ww review of the xstar quoted the jump seat @ 800 bucks, that is a little much to be out 15% of the time

Not that anything is ever free but my dealer threw it in when I bought the boat. We had already signed when I saw the seat. He took the seat and threw it into my boat. If I had asked and they wanted to charge $800 i wouldn't have got it.

The factory balast is good enough for us but if you like to weight your boat down you can get the Launch Pad Lounge and put that in the boat. I got one but it is too early in the season to deal with a large wake.
