It's nice, but overpriced. Get a prostar 197, put a tower with racka on it. Perfect pass and rear ballast and you have a cheaper X-7. That's all there is to it. _________________ Ride harder...

| This use to be right, a prostar was less expensive when you put it with the same equipment. Not anymore, if you put tower, rack, radio and ballast it become a little bit more expensive, but if you put only towers and ballast you are OK and you have a great ski boat |

| I bought a new X-7 last summer. I was looking for a combination ski boat/wakeboard boat when I bought it. I really liked the boat, but make no mistake this is a ski boat. It is not a great wakeboard boat. I sold it last month and ordered a wakeboard boat. |

Yes, it's a good wakeboard boat. Anyone who may say one of the boats from the X Series is not a good wakeboarding boat is filling you full of s#!t. _________________ If my above post offends you in any way, simply ignore it. I know the price because I just order a X7 last month. That's more a ski boat than a wakeboard boat, ultimate ski boat but intermediare wake boat
Here's a link that could help, X7 wins Outstanding Tow Boat Performance from powerboatmagasine

The prostar would win the same award if it had a tower. It is the same thing. They got that award just to publisize the x-7! _________________ Ride harder...

| Hey Dave, I'm not trying to fill anyone with s#$t, I saw this thread and thought I would give some honest unbiased advice. I've spent a lot of time on the boat, how much time have you spent behind an X-7, or even in one. This is a prostar 197, evo hull, with X series grafics and a tower. The boat rides really low in the water especially when you add extra weight which you will need to get a good wakeboarding wake. We took water over the transom several times when an X-star drove by. I can go on and on. This is a great water ski boat, but if you want an X-star or SAN wake, buy one. |

Actually, I rode behind a X-7 most of the summer last year. I understand that it's just like the ProStar... same thing goes with an Air 216 & Sport Nautique... same exact thing except the Sport doesn't have ballast or a tower. _________________ If my above post offends you in any way, simply ignore it. | X-7's wake is ok with 1,500 lbs of balast, but if you want to stay with MC go with the X-9, but Id go for the Nautique 206, pimp boat, BIG WAKE! I love mine! |

| hey my dad just bought an x-7 a few weeks ago and we haven't gotten it yet. if you get it and buy a 500 lb ballast tank, which is about what we have for our MC now, the wake will more than likely load up pretty well. good luck with it |

Nice boat, wake4life, but your father wasted a lot of money in buying it. You could've got a Moomba and had a much, much better wake and saved about 30 G's and got a new truck to pull it. Moomba and truck OR X-7? _________________ Ride harder...

anti-shoobies you say... The prostar would win the same award if it had a tower. It is the same thing....
That what I say ...It is a prostar with tower...nobody argu that
But compare the quality of a Moomba and a X7 is like apple and Orange. Not the same quality at all.
Did you slalom behind a Moomba? Did you drive a 3 years old Moomba?
It's a great boat for the value but it is not same construction as a MC
and bighead092 if you are a Hard core skier and do wakeboard for fun it is a great boat, but if you are a real wakeboarder who want to ski for fun sometime don't bye that boat... |

Apples and oranges do taste different. But, both are still a great fruit. But the apple costs 30K more in this situation.
When did I ever say I slalomed? _________________ Ride harder...

The X7 was one of the boats I looked at a few months ago while trying to make up my mind on what to buy. I ended up getting an '03 Outback because of the 30K price diff. I coulden't find where they justify the extra cost. The Moomba uses the same runnin gear and has more room up in the bow. Both put out an excelent ski wake and unweighted the Moomba put out a better wake than the X7 at boarding speed. We often have people in the boat that want to slalom. I liked the X7 but it came up as second choice to the Outback. _________________ No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. |

even Moomba dealer will tell you there is a difference in quality, construction and resell value beetween Moomba and MC. The difference become obvious after 3 years....But Moomba will give you good quality for the price you pay..
And for the slalom wake, sorry guys but there is a big difference beetween Moomba and x7...Try both and you will see...
But if Wakeboard is more important than slalom, don't buy a X7, go with something else, but if slalom is important and wakeboard is just for fun it is the right boat.
I still think correctcraft and MC are more expensive but they proove they can last for long |

Also all the x-star is(well not the 03 model) is a prostar 205v with a tower and different graphics. This is how all boat companies make their wakeboard boats. They take one of their proven boats and add a tower, graphics, and ballast. But you arent really getting that bad of a deal because if you add up the tower, graphics, PP, speakers and everything the price of adding all that on the other boat is near the same price. _________________ www.krookedminds.com
