| I think you're better off without the skate. The crashes aren't that bad and it's going to feel different when you spin with the weight of the board. |

| you can practice the spin from a skate but like ontrider said it's gonna be different than it is w/ the weight of the board. A front flip is gonna be tougher to do with a skate because at least for me I need a lot of speed carried into the wake to spin them without having to huck myself over. The falls on them aren't that bad if you commit to them. Make sure to put most of your weight on your back leg so you can bring your front leg up off the wake and keep the handle close to your body throughout the rotation. Sorry I wrote you a book and good luck. |

If you're too scared to actually try the moves strapped in, you might as well go for it on a skate. If nothing else, it should help overcome your little-girl-like fears. |

Thanks ontrider i hear what your saying about the swing weight.
michigan boarder i see what you mean about fronts and committing. is the edge in like a tantrum speed? or raley speed almost?
toothpick, haha, thanks i knew someone was going to tell me that im having fun on a skate and i sort of like ejecting from it too.
thanks guys and other tips on it will be appreciated. |

id say the edge is more inbetween a tantrum cut and a raley cut.....although since your learning them probably stay closer to the tantrum cut. come in progressive then punch your back leg down, bring the front knee up, keep the handle close, and bring your front shoulder and the side of your face to your knee. remember don't open up with your back shoulder otherwise it'll turn into a frantrum so keep it in. Just committ _________________ Rip it up |

Dang Son! When I read that I thought you meant front rolls. Front flip = knee to the face. |

| Cwakeboarder19 pretty much has it. Like he said don't come in with more speed than your tantrum cut at first. This is mostly because when most people first try fronts they need to concentrate more on the pop and not the speed. This trick is a lot different that a lot of other flips you do with a progressive edge because you go tip over tail. My main advice like Cwakeboarder19 said is to commit, commit, commit...that's the biggest thing |

well basically you cant "half a$$" a front flip....the part where you need to commit is pretty much as soon as you initiate the flip and throughout the flip. dont freak out and open up your body in mid air _________________ Rip it up |
