Yeah, kid looks like a player, even if he is the 40 yr old Rookie. Hate to see that happen to such a young guy. I'd bet being 7'+ at 17 didn't help things.

Come on.... Laughing Laughing Laughing

There are a lot of expectations here and I really don't know if they are reasonable. Last year was a GREAT run, but I don't think the WCF is going to be a destination for the next 3-5 years like people seem to think is a lock.

That said, they are going to be fun to watch and it should be a great season.

A.K. for S. Marion....assume it will NEVER happen, but there were reportedly "talks".... If it did... Shocked

Oh, last but not least.... A.K. is tearing it up in the European Championships.... Confused

Blah and I was looking forward to the Blazers actually having a decent season this year. Talk about a bad luck team. Oh well, Brandon Roy should be fun to watch this year, I guess there is always next season...

Supposedly Lamarcus Aldridge(remember him JT09?) is supposed to be much improved this year. Damn shame we probably won't get to see him and Oden play together for the next year if not 2 (If they do the healing right, they will follow Amare's recovery).

Ronnie Brewer has bumped it to another level.

Looks like troubles in LAL.

This is the year for the Mavs!

Dirk looks like he's really stepped up his inside game.

I do think they have as much a shot as anyone in the West, I've just been hearing that from all my boys in Dallas for 5 years now.

jt09, Ok. Mr. Negative Energy. At least they're pretty consistent and fun to watch. The only time I don't root for them is when they play the Kings. But, I'm fair weathering with them ever since the Maloofs thought they knew how to manage a BB team and ruined any chance at a Title Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I dig the Mavs! I just get tired of hearing Mavs fan say the same thing EVERY SINGLE YEAR - and be 100% convinced they are right regardless of who was added or what changes were made in the offseason. WBrad may have been sarcastic, I don't know...

jt09, I hear you. But, this year, they have as good a shot as any. Very seasoned, the Mavs are. mmmmhmmmm. /yoda voice

More than likely my team (the Cavs) are gonna be mediocre this year since they did NOTHING in the offseason to help out Lebron. I guess seeing a team I like in the finals of something was cool while it lasted Rolling Eyes

I haven't been claiming it for the last few years. I did think we would win it all last year but never made any proclamation. I just quoted a lot of articles that thought that Mr. Green. This year, I think putting Harris at starting point and Dirk developing an inside game will put them over the edge. We still have a young team.

Not really. Prime team? Yes. Young? Not so much. 34 is not considered "young" in the NBA.

jumalian, because that's pretty much max potential from what I saw. I commented to my bud as we watched the game last night that LAL has good pieces in place if each guy (save 24) was just *that* much better, they'd be money.

I'm SOOOO pumped about the Celtics this year. Never been a big Ray Allen fan, but always big on Paul Pierce and KG...who isn't? Perkins looks like he's actually put down the cheeseburgers and found the gym, kid could be solid down low if it all finally clicks for him (he shoulda gone to Memphis for at LEAST a year). Have my fingers crossed on Rondo.

jt09, yeah, i hear you. imagine though if they played close to that level night in night out. they would at least be close in each game.

was never a ray allen fan nor a paul pierce fan, but a big kevin garnett fan. the celts are definitely going to be playoff contenders this year if all 3 stay healthy.

Im loving the celtics this year. Garnett has always been my favorite player and it seems like the Big 3 on Boston have great chemistry so far and are playing excellently together. Im gonna go with NBA Finals team...

I could see the Suns taking a HUGE free fall this year. Matrix is bent out of shape, they lost their only post muscle and added an over the hill perimeter player. They'll win a bunch of games, but they'll lose the important ones.

lakers looked good again tonight! they're definitely playing team ball at both ends of the court. they're hustling, switchin and helping out on d, and passing the ball really well. i just hope they keep it up!

andrew bynum could definitely be a force in the middle in the future and jordan farmar could definitely be the next jason kidd! (please note the key word: "could")
