when i bought my fat sac it came with a hose adapter to fill it with a water hose. you could fill it that way and then, then to empty it just disconnect the end of the hose from the spiket(sp) and sqeeze the water out.
OR you could by a battery jumper thing and those have cigerate plugs on them. _________________ Theres a fine line between bravery and stupidity-Johnny Knoxville |

They make an adaptor for this problem. You plug the cigarette lighter part into it and it has clips like jumper cables on the other end to connect to the battery...
Simple, and cheep, nothin' ghetto about it.
They might even sell them at an Auto store, I got mine at the local board shop. _________________ PEACE

You can buy a pretty nifty cigarette socket at most auto-parts store. Then, just connected the negative to the ground bus under your dash and connect the postive to one of the empty fuses. Use about a 10 amp fuse. This is what we did. All you need is the cigarette socket, two crimp connects (this is how you connect to the buses), a 10 amp fuse, and some screws to hold the socket in.

| You can buy a cig. lighter at any auto store. They're cheap and super-easy to install. Also, you can install it wherever you want, so I'd put it next to wherever you store your pump - that way you don't even need to move the pump when filling your sacks. You could even install a dash-mounted switch, so you could fill them without even having to bother with pluging/unplugging the pump. To fill, you'd just have to attach the hose and flick the switch. All simple, basic wiring. Let me know if you need ideas or help. |

| It's like $9 to add a cig lighter to your boat. Drill a hole where you want it and hook up a couple wires. I did it last year. You can get one at your local boat shop. |

| We just cut the little plug-in thing off and connected the wires to the battery. It is kind of a pain though. Can't wait for the ballast system. |

| i think i'm gonna try to find the adapter with the clips on the end that will attach straight to the battery. i won't have to mess with cutting holes or anything like that so it will work well for me. |

In my experience, the cigarette lighter adapters slow down the pump. As compared to it running directly to the battery.
On my last boat, I bought pair of trailer light connectors. Then ran wires directly to the battery and put the female end on that set of wires. Then I added the male end onto the pump wires. It worked perfect. The trailer plugs come with like 4 or 5 prongs, so I just cut away the excess wires.
I could hide the wires to the battery so you wouldn't see anything. And, the plugs held up great and pump worked great. |

You could buy a new boat too! This "fix" is a little on the expensive side though |
