I tried a few front rolls and let me warn you, the landings can be pretty tough on your ankles. I think they are easier to do commit to than a back roll, but man I land hard on those.

congrats on the 3! thats a big milestone. yeah, i agree with FLWake. i've heard frontflips are very hard on your ankles. a kid on our lake went down to murray's camp in florida and broke both of the bones in his leg, at a very bad angle. it sure scared me out of wakeboarding hard this summer..

tried the same trick for the first time and it didn't go well at all. of course i got pulled of axis, completed the spin but went head/face first. knocked me a little silly. gave me bad enough headaches i didn't try it again just worked on a few surface tricks.
i guess the secret is to keep the rope waste level.
my wife was driving the boat a little too fast, but i had no shot at making it regardless.

good point kmag.
seems like eveytime we go out i have to retrain her.
just yesterday when iwas getting up it took about 5 sec to get the board on top of the water at first i thought it was me but when i asked her she said she was just starting of gradually. not one time have i ever told her to do this. just gun the som beyotch and pop me up.
can't figure out what his so hard about gun it and try and stay between 18 to 22 mph. i understand that without perfect pass you kinda have to keep playing with the throttle but thei is a big dif between 18 and 25 mph.

Yah man Congrats on the 3. the first handle pass trick is the toughest to get. And as for trying them frontrolls go for it. I just stomped one on wednesday and they're easy once you get them but some of the trial and error can be painful (coming up short to @$$ ride or trying to force the board under and killing your knees). Think cut in fast and huge pop and you'll be 2 new tricks better Mr. Green

if i were you, you should try the ts 3 cause many people say the rotation is easier than a hs 3

Thought I would add some stoke, I landed my first W2W TS FS 3 over the weekend! I would definitely give that a go if your TS W2W is solid. You can try one wake TS FS 3's as well, that is what I started doing, then took it W2W. Doing them one wake really made me realize how important it is to wait before you start to spin. Congrats and good luck on the next trick!

I have been trying the TS FR for about a year (6 months of riding in OH) and have gotten close but never ridden it away. I had been trying the TS FS 3 for about two weeks. The one wake 3 I got the second day I was trying it.
