sbend or stargaze ? what is it?

so my buddy calls me and says he almost stuck an sbend, seing the video, it looks like he is just doing an extreme stargaze an comming around. I belive an s bend you rotate the other way. So does it have a name if you star gaze it all the way around?

I believe a S-Bend is with a backside 3. If he is stargazing, it's almost always frontside. If it was stargazing backside, I don't think I would even call it stargazing.

So anyway, no he didn't land a S-Bend. It probably looks retarded whatever he did.

If you do it frontside, It's just a backroll. Same movement, just further out the back

Well a proper backroll is almost the same thing. I doubt you could find a vid of a simple backroll by either of these guys, but If you've ever seen Murray or Lyman do a backmobe, you can see that it is almost a raley motion.

yeah thats true. on the butter effect lyman does something that is a backroll thats pretty much raleyed out.

In a proper backroll you don't have your arms over your head like you would in a raley/s-bend. I would hardly call a raley with a FS 360 a backroll. It would seem to be closer to a 2 handed Ole 3.
