$75.00 for a freakin bikini? What the hell?

I just bought some new board shorts on sale from www.konasports.com for like 30-40 buck each and I felt a little guilty about not getting the wife anything. I remembered seeing some chick wearing a bad ass bathing suit at board bonanza and I figured I'd get the wife one just like it. I finally found it - a billabong "merit" and the damn thing was $75!?! What the hell is up with that? Of course I bought it, but I just don't understand why it was so freaking expensive. There's nothing to it. Just thought I'd vent...

Here's a pic of the suit by the way. Can't wait for it to come in.... Wish the chick came with it. Very Happy

I know I'm paying for a name, but at the same time, we all buy name brand board shorts that are 50 bucks at most. I'm just shocked at what you get for the money.

I avoid shopping malls at all costs. I simply will not go clothes shopping with the misses. After like ten seconds of standing there while she looks at stuff and/or tries stuff on I want to tear my face off and burn the store down.

If you ever read the fine print of the annual SI swimsuit issue, $75 for a 2 piece suit is chump change.
You're lucky to find a top or ( or NOT and) bottom for $75 in those issues.

My suits normally range $80+ for a 2 piece. Confused

my sister had $300 of brand new swimwear and she tossed it in a garbage bag when we were at the dock cause it was all wet.. it got thrown out.. least to say my mother was pissed and my sister now has no swimsuits..
